The annual SNL housecleaning. I'll miss Casey Wilson. Great beauty, great talent. I don't remember a thing about Michaela.
Sadly, the core issue (poor writing, probably having to do with the outdated Tues-night cram session approach) will probably never be addressed as long as Lorne Michaels is there. The only consistently funny part of the show (news) is developed/edited throughout the week. Ditto Mad TV (usually funnier across the board).
You nailed it with the cram session... The sketches are single sentence punchlines drawn out for waaaay too long. The reason Timberlake and Baldwin are such popular guests is that they can add some personality to an otherwise dull topic. SNL should be bi-monthly and they should shorten the skits. ...and Kenan has to go.
